Italian Fashion for a Cause: The Franca Sozzani Fund for Preventative Genomics
Meet two innovative collaborators using the power of DNA to transform medicine and prevent disease. Francesco Carrozzini, filmmaker, will share his story and inspiration for the Fund dedicated to his mother and late editor for Vogue Italia, Franca Sozzani. Dr. Robert Green, professor of medicine, will present scientific evidence supporting preventive genomics. Attendees will also hear about what types of information they can learn from their own DNA to truly personalize healthcare.
The Franca Fund was named in honor of the late Franca Sozzani, iconic long-time editor of Vogue Italia. The Fund was established in 2018 with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School to help prevent diseases by leveraging genomic information and cutting-edge precision medicine.
