Making genomic newborn screening a clinical reality

Dr. Robert C. Green delivers the Plenary Keynote at GA4GH, demonstrating how genomic sequencing can move from promising research studies into routine care for every newborn. Drawing on the BabySeq and BRIDGES-NBS projects, in addition to wider newborn-sequencing efforts, his talk considers what it will take to deliver screening that is clinically meaningful, responsibly manages uncertain and incidental findings, connects families to long-term care, and can be implemented equitably at population scale.
